Job Description

• A dynamic short-term insurance company is looking for an experienced Claims Manager with strong leadership capabilities and a solid background in regulatory compliance to oversee their end-to-end claims operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end claims process.
• Assess, approve, and oversee complex, high-value, and escalated claims.
• Provide effective leadership and people management to the team.
• Ensure operational capacity planning and workload management.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and governance standards.
• Ensure accurate claims documentation, record keeping, and audit readiness.
• Implement and review claims policies, procedures, and controls.
• Manage complaints, disputes, and escalations, including Ombud referrals (OSTI).

Requirements:

• NQF Level 4 qualification.
• RE5 certification.
• Fully FAIS compliant.
• Proven experience in a short-term insurance claims and management role.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
