Minimum ABET Level 4/Grade 10 /Grade 12 or equivalent , with 1 or more years of cleaning experience in a hospital/clinical environment. Good communication skills. Ability to read and write.
Ability and preparedness to work shifts/including night duty, weekends and Public Holidays. Be honest and reliable. Physical strength and be able to work in a team.
Duties :
Cleaning of floors and walls, attend to all low and high surface areas, dusting doors and door handles, lockers, beds and other furniture, washing of windows and window frames, Clean and dust curtains/blinds.
Cleaning of outside areas, (corridors, picking of papers in front of the ward/office), remove waste according to the required standard, Cleaning of fridges and micro-ovens. Washing of cups and utensils in the ward. Good control of chemicals and operate heavy duty cleaning machines Report any defects in the workplace to the supervisor.
Ensure and maintain a clean and secure environment of patients. Always attend to all spillages to avoid injuries. Providing all areas with DEO blocks, air fresheners, hand washing soap and toilet papers daily. Collecting patient’s food/ beverages from the kitchen to the wards daily. Unpacking and packing of linen in the storeroom. Perform delegated duties requested by the supervisor
