    Client Operations Analyst

    Job Overview
    The role of the Client Operations Analyst is to work closely with the strategic client relationship team in the daily servicing of a designated set of clients, invested via an Investment Management Agreement or equivalent, and to provide administrative support and reporting. Each Client Operations Analyst has an allocation of clients. This allocation is dependent on complexity and demands of each client, to ensure a pro-active high-quality service is delivered.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Professional liaison with clients (new clients, restructures, performance, off-market trade queries, etc.)
    • Effective query management and resolution
    • Client reporting (ad hoc, daily, monthly, quarterly, annual – including report generation).
    • Liaison with investment operations, Client Managers, PMs, performance & attribution, dealing, implementations, finance, fund operations
    • Effective liaison with back office administrators
    • Provide information/support to Client Managers
    • Checking monthly, quarterly investment statements and performance reports
    • Updating of CRM system
    • Identifying inefficiencies in processes
    • Contributing to ad hoc projects aimed at streamlining processes

    Person specification  

    Technical Knowledge and Experience:

    • Newly Qualified CA(SA) or B Comm / B Bus Sci or other similar degree or qualifications
    • Client relationship management in the investment management industry ideal
    • 2-3 years back office experience within the investment management industry, preferably in a role that required client interaction
    • Would also consider candidates from an accounting, auditing or consulting background
    • Financial market knowledge (instruments and products)
    • Financial accounting
    • Numerate

    System Skills:

    • MS Excel (Advanced)

    Risk & Compliance Responsibilities  

    • Adhering to the Code of Ethics and related policies, including personal account dealing, gifts, market abuse, etc.
    • Ensuring Compliance training, declarations and relevant forms are completed on a timely basis
    • Ensuring that firm and client data and property, including IT data, are properly protected
    • Reporting any possible and actual breaches, errors, complaints or conduct issues.
    • Reporting any suspicion that a client, investor, or employee may be involved in money laundering, fraud or other crime such as market abuse
