Co-Ordinator (Projects) at eThekwini Municipality

Job Purpose    
Assist the Manager: Projects in planning, controlling and implementing the integrated delivery of houses and associated infrastructure, including roads, sanitation, water and storm water drainage to low income developments.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Co-ordinates the implementation of housing projects and undertakes the duties of the Junior Project Manager.
• Co-ordinates project teams i.e. professional teams.
• Ensures compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (1993) including ensuring quality control in projects.
• Identifies and resolves issues arising from projects.
• Reports to various committees in conjunction with the Manager (Projects).
• Ensures that the allocated budget is managed in conjunction with Manager (Projects).
• Performs any other duties related to housing that may be required.

Essential Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in the Built Environment field.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 3 Years relevant experience.
