Commercial Development Project Manager- Private Labels

Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to our growth we are looking for an experienced Commercial Project Manager to be based at our Westville Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control New Brand Development Timelines, Targets, Reporting & Management of Testing Service Provider with Current Private Label   
• Manage all products tested prior to launch and results thereof is analyzed and communicated
• Lodging of Trade Mark Applications and follow ups on existing within the relevant category classes & all queries in the Pipelines
• Manage Infringement checks and ensure each are completed on lines requested and reported back to business
• Manage Third Party Legislation checks on all new products and changes to be communicated to Marketing for changes on Design
• Manage all Private Label Reporting and Maintenance and Auditing of Private Label Files
• High and Medium Risk Profile Suppliers must ensure food safety team is made aware and adhoc inspections to be conducted and reports need to be managed directly with the supplier
• Attain Proof of Compliance with all legislation, regulations applicable to the products as per HB Agreement and file
• Design Online Sign off required at supplier/printer premises as and when required

Qualification and experience

• Product Packaging Knowledge is essential
• A qualification in project management and/or experience in working in a project management role would be advantageous
• Preferable Degree/Diploma or studying towards a qualification in Business, Retail, or Brand Management
