Consultant, Commercial Property Finance at Standard Chartered Bank

JOB DESCRIPTION

To sell Commercial Property Finance’s products and develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and potential customers in the commercial property industry.   To proactively source and acquire new business, structuring of the resultant transactions and management of the transaction origination process. To ensure effective sales execution in order to achieve sales and service targets. To provide specialist input and advice into Business Banking’s product experts in respect of the commercial properties being funded for both the bank’s credit risk as well as bank’s customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-year property related degree
• Suitable financial qualification
• Formal property related in-house training courses
• Valid Driver’s licence

Experience

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Property finance product and service offerings
• A sound knowledge and understanding of the Commercial Property finance back-office administration / operations processes and procedures to facilitate quick turnaround times for business written
• A good knowledge of local competitor Commercial Property finance product offerings
• A sound knowledge and understanding of risk compliance and credit management procedures, principles and practices, including an understanding of credit applications, securities and balance sheet requirements
• A good knowledge and understanding of the terms and conditions of multiple legal entities in the business market and the legislative restrictions and requirements governing these from a financial services perspective
