Overview We are recruiting a Content Creative for our Earned Media (PR) team, ideally in Cape Town. This brand-new role is designed for a true “unicorn”: someone who thrives on inventing bold, original earned media ideas and bringing them to life. The successful candidate will have a strong copywriting or agency content background, with an ability to craft standout campaigns, media relations content, thought leadership, scripts, social-first content and long-form storytelling. The successful candidate will be equally proficient writing and ideating for consumer and corporate clients. You will work across the full PESO spectrum (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned), producing work that captures attention, sparks engagement, and delivers impact. Your ideas will be culturally relevant, strategically smart, and tailored to client objectives. Responsibilities: Generate ambitious, creative ideas for campaigns, pitches, and proactive client opportunities. Write and produce high-quality content across formats: long-form, social-first, scripts, campaign copy, and thought leadership. Translate client briefs into clear, creative strategies and earned-first solutions. Bring ideas to life across Paid, Earned, Shared, and Owned channels, ensuring campaigns are fully integrated. Collaborate closely with account teams and designers to execute concepts seamlessly. Stay ahead of trends in culture, Earned Media, and digital to ensure ideas are relevant and fresh. Contribute to new business pitches by generating creative platforms, narratives, and campaign concepts. Requirements / Experience / Skills: Tertiary qualification in a creative or communications field (e.g., Copywriting, Creative Brand Communications, Strategic Communications, Journalism, Marketing) plus a degree. 5+ years’ experience in a creative, copywriting, content, or integrated agency environment. Exceptional conceptual and storytelling skills — able to turn insights into attention-grabbing ideas and content. Outstanding writing skills across formats (long-form, short-form, scripts, campaign messaging, social-first copy). Strong understanding of Earned Media and integrated communication channels (PESO). Proactive, self-motivated, and hands-on, with the ability to manage multiple projects. Comfortable working under pressure to deliver high-quality work.
