Contract Specialist - 3 Months Contract at Datacentrix

Responsibilities and work outputs

• Facilitation and administration of contract management process of the clients supply agreements
• To ensure compliance with procurement policy and procedures
• To effectively manage the contracts register
• To ensure effective relationship management (internal clients and external suppliers)
• To effectively support the maintenance, improvement and reporting of broad based BEE imperatives and initiatives
• To assist in the negotiations of supply and service contracts to achieve savings and other commercial targets
• To monitor supplier performance based on SLAs
• To monitor supplier development plans for supplier growth and improved service delivery
• To render general tender administration service
• To play an active role in generating and implementation of innovative ideas to improve efficiencies in the Procurement Department
• The incumbent must be prepared and willing to work overtime on short notice

Experience and Qualifications

• Matric - Grade 12
• Relevant Commercial Degree or National Diploma in Purchasing / Logistics Management or equivalent with law and commercial subjects. 
• Knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, BBBEE Act and relevant Treasury Regulation
• 3 years procurement experience with at least 2 years dealing with contract administration
• At least 2 years’ experience in practicing Public Procurement Regulation as prescribed by the National treasury/ PFMA/ PPPFA and BBBEE
• SAP experience in the Materials Management module (particularly SAP Contract Administration).
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite: Word/Excel/Power Point/MS Project).
