    Conveyancer

    • A well established specialist property law firm requires an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary to assist with all property registrations and notarial matters.

    Qualifications, skills and experience:

    • LLB Degree
    • Admissions Certificate for attorney, conveyancer and notary
    • Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Conveyancing Software
    • Must have ability to read and interpret legal and business correspondence
    • Deal with client queries related to property registration
    • Knowledge of conveyancing legal acronym and legal jargon is essential / In depth knowledge of property and conveyancing law/ In depth knowledge of Sectional Title processes.
    • Knowledge of legislative requirements as it relates to Conveyancing such as Contract law and Deeds processes
    • Must have experience in managing Conveyancing Secretaries and other related resources

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deal with Property related matters which include attending to opening of a township Register, a Sectional Title register, division of agricultural holdings, subdivision of farmland and land, consolidation of property, procedures relating to rates clearances, dealing with the Receiver of Revenue in respect of issuing transfer duty received, attending to solution of problems at the Deeds office in respect of alienation of properties, drafting agreements of sale, agreement of cancellation of agreement
    • Dealing with notarisation and authentication of documents for overseas use by obtaining from the Court the Apostille or from the Foreign Affairs, the Certificate of Authentication, attendances and consultations with Council to discuss notarial deeds of servitude, notarial tie agreement and consolation with agents of Council for requirement to tie properties
    • Ensuring that registrations are done in accordance with agreed timelines and process and procedures.
    • Supervision of Conveyancing secretarial duties related to registration, lodgement, contract signature, local authorities and any legal related process with the property Registration.
    • Authorising and checking of payments requested by Conveyancing secretaries.
    • Examination of Documents.
