Cook - Healthwise at Tsebo Solution

• We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team. In this vital role, you will help provide healthy, balanced meals to patients, staff, and visitors—supporting healing, comfort, and overall well-being.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and patient-specific requirements.
• Follow menu plans created by dieticians and nutritionists.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with meal portioning and plating for patient wards.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen assistants and hospital staff.
• Ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Skills and Competencies    

• Previous experience as a Cook or Chef (hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage).
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions, allergens, and special-needs meal preparation.
• Ability to follow strict hygiene, safety, and infection-control protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Qualifications    

• Proven cooking experience
• Matric
• 1 -2-year experience in a similar role
• Culinary qualification would be advantageous
