    Corporate Affair Executive (North West)

    Education and Experience Requirements;

     

    • A legal degree and a post-graduate degree in Law
    • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the management of outsourced legal services (Legal Firms) and Business
    • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Management of Stakeholder Relations, which shall as a minimum be inclusive of media, government at all levels and community.
    • A combination of Corporate and Public Sector Experience will serve as an advantage. 

    Skills Required

    • High Level Negotiation Skills
    • Above average communications and writing skills
    • Well rounded conflict resolution skills
    • Management and leadership skills
    • Experience in the Management and Negotiation of Contracts
    • Knowledge in Risk, Compliance and Ethics Management.
    • Knowledge of Corporate Communications Management
    • Knowledge in the Management of CSI/SLP
    • Knowledge and Experience of NEC Administration required( New Engineering Contracts)

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    Corporate Affairs;

    • The Executive shall manage the Corporate Affairs of the Company, specifically relating to the community and government and fulfil the role of Executive responsible for external interaction, liaison and negotiation as appropriate, with government, community and other related stakeholders.
    • The Executive shall interact with all Company stakeholders. 
    • Ensure maximum compliance with applicable laws and regulations and in furtherance of achieving Sustainable Development practices in the Company.
    • Develop and manage the Sustainable Development agenda of the Company to ensure that Sustainable Development principles are embedded in the way that Company carries out all its activities.
    • Be overall accountable for reporting on the Sustainable Development Programme of the Company in the Company's Integrated Report (Annual Report).
    • The Sustainable Development Programme includes the overall oversight and implementation of the Social and Labour Plan which includes but is not limited to the following community programmes, Satisfaction Survey, Event Calendars and Stakeholder Engagements Forums.
    • Be overall accountable for the management of the Company's Compliance Register which shall reflect all matter to which the Company must comply and the Company's state of compliance thereto.
    • The Executive shall be responsible for monitoring the Company's Risk Management programme implementation in collaboration with the Finance Department.

    Legal Responsibilities

    • The Executive shall ensure that the legal section takes responsibility to develop and monitor compliance with all contracts in line with the applicable Company policies. 
    • Ensures that Contracts are negotiated on time for Product and Services.
    • Ensure Contracts performance. 
    • Review all contracts that have been edited between Companies. 
    • Ensure that all breaches of contracts are handled timeously. 
    • Ensure that Contracts Strategy is in place. 
    • Ensure that policies are reviewed and updated regularly. 

    Communication;

    • Develop the Corporate Communications strategy and plan for the Business.
    • Ensure that the Company website is up to date and informative. 
    • Manage all communication related function of the Business with regards to social media platforms and other mediums such as internet, intranet, printed material, news releases, video and other channels as appropriate.
    • Ensure that regular media tours to the mine site are conducted and engage with editors and writers from the mining and business media essential.
    • Review all media releases and supervise the preparation of all media briefing packs.
