We are in search of a highly creative copywriter who is passionate about creating compelling stories that inspire our target audience to connect with Makosi. Our ideal candidate is a collaborator and imaginative writer with a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with Makosi's key stakeholders to fully understand project requirements, create content tailored to the needs of our audience, participate in brainstorming sessions, and conduct research to develop or support written materials. Your Daily Adventures Will Include:
Developing and refining original copy that is both accurate and thoroughly researched, while also meeting the needs and deadlines of clients or the company.
Engaging with both internal and external parties to gain insights on their areas of expertise and creating copywriting briefs to fully comprehend project requirements.
Collaborating closely with key stakeholders such as designers, marketing, and leadership on both large and small-scale marketing initiatives.
Conducting in-depth research, both qualitative and quantitative, to generate innovative ideas and insights.
Proofreading and editing copy as necessary and collaborating with the creative team to brainstorm visual concepts.
Implementing SEO principles to optimize the reach of copy.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a copywriter or in a related role.
A degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Expertise in developing written content across various formats, including websites, marketing email campaigns, sales sequence campaigns, social campaigns, newsletters, PR, blog posts, whitepapers, info sheets, sales materials, event materials, presentation content, and video scripts.
Knowledge of online content strategy and creation, as well as experience with SEO.
Strong research skills, combined with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
A creative, agile, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
