    Customer Insights Analyst (Gauteng)

    DESCRIPTION

    • The Customer Insights Analyst is an analytical and interpersonally skilled professional who works under the supervision and guidance of the Customer Insights Team Lead on reporting, insights and analysis tasks as briefed in and assigned. The tasks include report checking and delivery, receiving briefs and carrying out analysis in order to provide insights for in store retail execution to Ops Teams and client as required.
    • The Customer Insights Analyst has a good knowledge and understanding of the FMCG and retail landscape, as well as an understanding of sales and operations and the role that data plays in retail execution as relates to innovation, product availability, in store activations, promotional activity and the likes. The analyst has an understanding of the client’s retail execution KPI’s and ensures that the reports and insights assists in the measured achievement of these indicators.
    • The analyst may be a client dedicated team member and be based at the client and will be required to work closely with the Smollan Client Executive and OI team and will interact with both the Smollan Data Office Build and Delivery team in the set-up, processing of data, resolution of data issues and the development of standard reports for the clients as required. 
    • The Customer Insights Analyst is a strong and competent analyst and is highly proficient at navigating, understanding and interpreting the standard reports, checks and approves reports ahead of delivery, ensuring the accurate and timeous delivery of daily, weekly and monthly reports as per the contractual obligations and the client’s needs.
    • The Customer Insights Analyst works predominantly on standard reports as well as collaborates in customized reports and analysis where the tasks would be somewhat difficult and involve a certain level of originality and evaluation. 

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3-5 years’ experience in customer data analysis and modelling within customer /retail and manufacturing environment||Essential / Minimum|0-5 years|
    • Diploma or Degree/NQF level 6 or 7

    • Computer literacy - Pyrarmid / Qlikview / PowerBI / Self-service Models
    • Computer literacy - SQL Server Analytical Services (SSAS) and SQL
