OVERALL PURPOSE
Lulalend is a start-up company focused on transforming small business lending through technology, data and design. Small business owners are the foundation for growth in our economy, and they deserve an easy and inspiring lending process.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that will work closely with fellow Sales team members and also our Credit team to develop a comprehensive approach to acquiring customers. You will work to encourage small business owners to apply for funding. You will be a driving force in helping Lulalend quickly scale.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Consistently excel in meeting business and individual targets
Analysing business funding applications in the first phase of the assessment process for all NEW business clients and providing relevant recommendations, within the required SLA
Accurately interpret the information provided by a client on a business funding application, and from this obtain a comprehensive understanding of what information/documentation is required for the application to move to the next phase of assessment
Contacting and exercising timeous follow up with clients to gather all the necessary information/documentation for the application to proceed to the next phase of the assessment
Educate clients on the various factors that have been taken into account by the Credit team in the outcome of their application
In depth understanding of the contents of the legal agreement which accompanies a client's business funding offer
Effectively navigate through any questions that the client may have around the legal agreement
Understanding the end-to-end journey that a client will have with Lulalend as both a new customer and repeat client
Provide comprehensive reporting on your sales pipeline
Prospecting and effectively engaging with clients through the assessment process to achieve a favourable outcome
Effectively manage high volumes of applications whilst maintaining timeous management of all other tasks that require your attention in the processing of your assessments
Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations through a professional, proactive and innovative approach
Timeously escalate customer queries to the relevant stakeholders
Where approval has been given you must be able to achieve high conversion rates on deals to add to company and individual targets
Assisting the Credit team within the required SLA to obtain any further information/documentation to allow the business funding application to move to the next phase of assessment
Keep abreast of the latest developments in the business funding landscape
Understand reasons for and comply with said business rules, processes and regulations set out by Lulalend and ensure credit is granted to a customer with the highest level of integrity
Exceptional understanding of the credit assessment process

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Matric
Degree or diploma in finance, business or accounting (Desirable)
Minimum 3-4 years B2B experience within a financial services sales environment, dealing with well established, successful and growing business clients
Exceptional sales skills - listening to and interpreting customer problems/needs, thorough knowledge of the product one is selling and its benefits
Target driven, ability to work under high levels of pressure with a track record of consistently excelling in meeting sales targets
High level of understanding of financial statements, business/supplier contracts, SARS e filing for business, payment gateways and accounting software (Advantageous)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong financial and administrative skills
An in depth understanding of how various industries operate
Previous work experience in a startup (Desirable)
Familiar in working in G-suite
Familiar in working on CRM’s such as (Zendesk, Salesforce, Freshdesk, Zoho, etc)
