    CVM Segmentation Specialist

    Purpose of the Position

    To deliver precise and timely reports and insights, enabling the creation of strategic slide decks, advising on data interpretation for informed strategic decisions in the Connected Video business. This role supports CVM communications, general CVM reporting, cohort building, and optimization of CVM activities.
    To act as a trusted partner, providing the data driven insights and actions to contribute to the strategic focus areas for the CVM team.

    Key Performance Objectives

    Segmentation Management & Automation

    • Perform complex user journey analysis using standard funnels, machine learning and process mining techniques to understand the flow of customers through the product.
    • Drive CVM operational and data processes to effectively support audience creation and optimisation.
    • Develop reporting in Power BI, Amplitude and similar tools to provide insights to the business regarding marketing campaign performance and trends.
    • Analyse marketing engagement metrics and campaign performance to inform ongoing strategy and optimisations.
    • Conduct ad hoc deep dive analyses to understand customer behaviour and present results back to Showmax and CVM Marketing executives, provide detailed result documentation and informal reports.
    • Act as a partner to the Showmax CVM Marketing team, providing in depth analysis on requests and based on own data exploration, giving insights and interpretation of the data to guide strategic decision making.
    • Identify opportunities to improve business as usual processes using modern technologies and automation.
    • Source, clean and combine data from various sources to design reports connecting the dots and provide holistic views of the business and the environment in which we operate.
    • Maintain, build and improve data consolidation and automation from media platforms, publishers, web analytics, internal data and CRM platform to enable an integrated view of the data in one environment.

    Stakeholder Relations

    • Establish and monitor healthy, diverse internal and external relations and implement remedial actions where required, in the achievement of organisational goals.
    • Establish and maintain a close relationship with the CVM team and ongoing operational processes to deliver meaningful support and insight.
    • Strong stakeholder management to manage the Showmax CVM Marketing executive`s expectations around reporting and automation deliverables.
    • Oversee data relationship with external agencies, internal teams, group projects and consultants.
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members.
    • Provide data related knowledge sharing within the business.

    Reporting

    • Provision of timely and accurate update and expectation management in accordance with business and management requirements for specific projects.
    • Report on status, risk and timelines regarding projects to provide visibility and line of sight.

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Degree in Science/Mathematics/Data Analysis

    Preferred

    • Post Graduate qualification in Engineering/Data Science/Business Management

    Experience

    • 5-8 years in an analytical or engineering field working with large data sets (streaming and batch)
    • Experience within CVM or marketing operational processes and data
    • Experience with CDP platforms, Marketing automation tools (mParticle | Braze | Kochava experience preferred)
    • Excellent analytics skills, Python or R, data mining, data visualization and SQL capabilities
    • Experience working with data warehouses/large databases
    • Experience in Tableau/Power BI/SSRS with working knowledge of DAX
    • Maintenance of data integrity and accuracy
    • Analyse, report and surface insights and feedback
    • Experience working with large data sets including data cleansing and validation
    • Ability to identify trends/behaviours from complex data sets and suggest where they can be applied
