Job Description

In this role we are looking for a Data expert who has been able to help business create and implement strategic shifts by making sense of the data provided. We are looking for a game changer to be part of our double digit growth ambitions. Are you up to the challenge? OR have you been there, done that already?
Your key performance objectives will include:

• Understanding the technical landscape and bank wide architecture that is connected to or dependent on the business area supported in order to effectively design & deliver data solutions
• Translating / interpreting the data architecture direction and associated business requirements & leverage expertise in analytical & creative problem solving to synthesise data solution designs beyond the analysis of the problem
• Participating in design thinking processes to successfully deliver data solution blueprints
• Leveraging state of the art relational and No-SQL databases as well integration and streaming platforms to deliver sustainable business specific data solutions.
• Designing data retrieval, storage & distribution solutions (and OR components thereof) including contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle e.g. design process
• Developing high quality data processing, retrieval, storage & distribution design in a test driven environment
• Collaborating with various teams in the bank to ensure better availability, relevance of data and accurate data sets in our data lakes
• Assembling large, complex data sets that meet business requirements & manage the data pipeline
• Leveraging data tools for analytics that assist in building and optimizing data sets for the benefit of the business.

Let’s talk further if you have the above-mentioned experience as well as a relevant B degree plus:

• Proven experience in customer facing environment
• Previous experience in stakeholder management
• 5+ years’ experience in data science principles, methodologies and implementation across data marts, warehouses and data leaks, including data governance around ingestion and retrieval/usage.
• 3 + years’ experience working in Big data environment (advantageous for all) – optimising and building big data pipelines, architectures and data sets with e.g. Java, Scala, Python, Hadoop, Apache Spark and Kafka
• Logical & physical design of data structures
• Testing
