Deputy Director: HIV Prevention (Health) (Late Life Course) at Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification:

• An appropriate 3-year Degree (or equivalent) in a Health-Related field, registrable with a South African Health Professions Council (HPCSA) or South Africa Nursing Council (SANC). Experience: Extensive experience in the management and coordination of public health programmes.
• Extensive experience in policy development/translation/implementation across the life course.
• Extensive supervisory experience. Inherent requirements of the job:
• Valid Driver’s licence.
• Willingness and ability to travel to the districts and national office.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):

• Advanced computer literacy skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Ability to produce and evaluate detailed policy documentation and to produce reports of a high standard.
• The ability to perform a detailed and critical analysis of the performance of the healthcare service and propose constructive interventions.
