    Digital Data Translator - La Lucia

    JOB PURPOSE

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

    • The Digital Data Translator is responsible for all raw data sets gathered from all UFS digital touchpoints, then translating this data into insights and opportunities.
    • The role is highly collaborative, working with other teams with a strong connection to Marketing.  Business partnering these teams to ensure that all data is turned into information, information into insight and insight into business actions. 
    • Ensuring that large data sets are transformed into easy-to-understand powerful PBI dashboards that delivers on both impact and clear storytelling by means of data visualisation.

    WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE: 

    • Plan and execute all new data sources that provide input to digital selling
    • Monitor and optimise business processes to ensure ongoing effectiveness
    • Lead new operator data potential estimation and segmentation
    • Responsible for assigning new leads to CRM downstream systems and ongoing evaluation of such leads
    • Maintains database of FPO and subsequent compliance
    • Technical support and data/analytical lead for Marketo
    • Dashboards created by utilisation of local data lake; single source of truth built with multi data source inputs
    • Create scripts/packages to run data from local data lake
    • Utilise global outputs to drive digital data – recommendations/reports and other analysis
    • Stakeholder Communication – use storytelling methodology to ensure data insights are easily understood and utilised.  Focusing on gaps, opportunity, and white spaces with ongoing follow up and evaluation
    • Responsible for accuracy and reliability of digital data
    • Collaborating with Marketing to drive strategic focus on the following touchpoints with bi- weekly status/flash updates to senior leaders, covering the following:   
    • Webshop
    • Ufs.com sign ups
    • Ufs.com downloads
    • Leads Nurturing/Generation progression
    • Sales conversion of all digital touchpoints
    • Effectiveness of all automated journeys with key call outs and recommendations to improve based on evident data
    • Active participation within Digital Selling squad
    • Data Integrity –
    • Ensure data uploaded timeously in correct format
    • Ensure data audits are done to include validation, deduplication, and integration
    • Adherence to global ohub data requirements
    • Compliance to POPI act
    • Drive integration and development between systems – global and local
    • Support functional, integration and system testing
    • Manage incidents in accordance to agreed SLA with service delivery teams
    • Present data insights at Ignite, Pulse, BT and other UFS requirements (travel where applicable)

    Experiences & Qualifications

    Essential:

    • 5+ years’ experience of FMCG Business
    • Proven track as a data professional in high-paced, executive environments
    • Experience in analytical outputs
    • Basic experience in data science tools
    • Data storytelling and translation
    • Digital/Technical Awareness
    • Understanding of digital marketing, Marketo experience preferable
    • Experience in formulating tech requirements and prioritizing in line with business goals
    • Fluent English, verbal & written

    Desirable:

    • e-Commerce
    • Google Analytics

    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment

    • Proven ability to multitask and prioritise according to business needs  
    • Good experience with SQL, Databricks
    • Intermediate PBI skills
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Curious about the latest developments in data and a clear understanding of how organizations can leverage these opportunities
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Advanced data visualisation that leads to well versed data storytelling
    • Familiarity with Agile Project management
    • Agility – Ability to adapt to change and flexibility of business requirements.
