    Digital Intern

    Purpose

    The digital intern will be responsible to assist the Digital & Brand Marketing Manager in implementing the Saint-Gobain, Gyproc, Isover, Aerolite and Weber overall marketing plan, focusing specifically on digital

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Digital & Brand Marketing Manager to refine the social media strategy and best practices
    • Assist in managing social media channels and editorial calendar to ensure content it timely, relevant and engaging for the following brands:
      • Saint-Gobain – Facebook
      • Gyproc – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
      • Isover – Aerolite Facebook
    • Assist in preparing monthly updates and reports to track growth and the success of content posted / uploaded throughout the month
    • Identify new digital trends and keep up to date and informed on new social media trends
    • Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) so as to engage them in brand activities and assist with content for their profiles
    • Assist with website/s copywriting and content updates
    • Work on SEO of the website pages for all brands
    • Edit and post content on websites and link this to the social media calendar
    • Assist in promoting Saint-Gobain brands’ products and services in the digital space
    • Execute social media efforts to improve KPI’s (likes, shares, tweets and mentions)

    Qualifications

    • Degree in marketing/digital marketing
    • Proficient in Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Photoshop

    Required skills

    • Writing, editing and proofreading
    • Attention to detail
    • Ability to multitask
    • Ability to meet deadlines and advise on next steps or needs
    • Understand and can utilize emerging platforms, digital media and web/social media management as well as measuring tools (HootSuite, Google Analytics, GTM, Forepass)
    • Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus
    • SEMrush knowledge is an advantage
    • Ability to research and scan industry and competition on digital platforms
    • Social media savvy (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram)
    • Knowledge of graphic design principles and programs (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
    • Knowledge of analytics, SEO and AdWords
