    Digital Marketing Technology Specialist

    About the job

    • A unique and rare opportunity to work with the Firm’s global and regional leaders on the creation, development, launch and support of digital tools that support’s the Firm’s go-to-market strategy and deliver engaging digital client experiences that will continue to further differentiate Dentons. This role will focus on supporting our 20+ WordPress blogs from both a functional and administrative perspective. However, the candidate should be prepared to take on additional projects on various digital content management systems including Sitecore.
    • The Digital Marketing specialist is a project management role focused on delivering marketing technology solutions in an efficient and innovative forward-thinking manner.
    • The team is part of a broader Digital Marketing function which continuously strives to increase profitability, through the collaborative and measured use of integrated, multi-channel digital marketing practices and tools that empower Dentons' marketers, business developers and professionals to generate more leads and acquire new clients.
    • Candidates should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be comfortable exploring new technological territories.

    Launching new digital properties

    • Serve as project manager for launching new digital properties and initiatives
    • Own and track project timelines & deliverables and ensure project meets expectations
    • Lead with the discovery process on new digital initiatives but be accountable for capturing the business requirements
    • Represent the broader Digital Marketing team’s requirements including SEO, performance, web accessibility and usability
    • Work with the external developer, in-house Digital Marketing and in-house Design teams to translate requirements into functional specifications including the development of data architectures, sitemaps and wireframes
    • Develop and document project success criteria
    • Lead quality assurance and user acceptance testing process

    Maintaining existing digital properties

    • Own the software release life cycle for existing digital properties.
    • Be accountable for system up-time and lead escalations during crisis management
    • Handle day to day inquires and the prioritizations of bugs, feature requests and improvements

    Optimizing digital properties

    • Own reporting function across digital properties including development of reports in Google Analytics, Siteimprove, Google Data Studio among other tools.
    • Collaborate with other marketers to develop analyses for various online marketing initiatives
    • Implement search engine optimization

    Optimize the search engine performance and page load time for digital properties

    • Promoting digital marketing team
    • Serve as a digital marketing technology ambassador for the Firm
    • Document common processes and author training manuals
    • Provide WordPress training to content authors and editors
    • Administer advanced HTML and technology training

    Requirements

    • Technical Experience and Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree with experience with WordPress implementations and administration
    • Experience in digital marketing, digital project management, or WordPress implementation.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment acting as Project Owner or Scrum Master preferred
    • Significant experience working with HTML and CSS
    • Experience with at least one programming language such as JavaScript or PHP preferred
    • Experience in user interface design, information architecture and user acceptance testing
    • Experience working with web accessibility standards required
    • Experience working with web analytics, with a particular focus on Google analytics preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Teams a plus
    • Experience with Siteimprove a plus
    • Project management certifications a plus

    Personal Skills / Attributes

    • Fluent in English a must
    • An understanding of and interest in lead generation
    • High level of analytical and logical thinking
    • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
    • Highly organised and able to proactively manage schedules and tasks
    • Methodical and thorough with a strong focus on attention to detail, accuracy and an understanding for the need of documents and well-defined procedures
    • Energetic, self-motivated and results-oriented
    • Able to exercise tact and diplomacy in an organisational setting
    • Must show initiative, be proactive and be able to work independently.
    • Must be able to communicate complex processes and tasks in simple language that can easily be understood by people with fewer technical skills and knowledge
    • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to complete necessary and time sensitive tasks
