Driver with Secondary Functions: Physical Records Management, Ref No. DOI 72/2025 at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose    

• The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to drive motor vehicles to transport passengers and other items (e.g. mail and documents).

Minimum Requirements    

• Junior Certificate (Grade 10) or equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 1 year relevant experience
• A valid code B (or higher) driving licence with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

Recommendation    

• Good client relations experience. 

Key Performance Areas    

• Collection of mail bags from the Post Office and documents from all the office of the department, using a vehicle or physically
• Sorting and distribution of internal mail to all the offices of the Department
• Franking of mail to be posted
• Request vehicle and ensure that it is in a good condition
• Assist with the execution of functions associated with Records management.
