    Employment Equity Specialist

    Job Description:

    • HRBP Employment Equity Specialist (Fixed Term Contract)
    • The Employment Equity Specialist will be responsible for Performing operational duties to fulfil EEA requirements of reporting, analysis, insights, and Functional Targets

    Employment Equity

    • Manages Employment Equity operational functional responsibilities.
    • Proactively addresses issues in relation to Employment Equity disparities where necessary.
    • Track and report on all MI relating to EE on a weekly and monthly basis for reporting to SMT.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the business requirements to deliver effective commercial Employment Equity and Affirmative Action measures for consultation.
    • Support the implementation of the Employment Equity Plan
    • Draft, monitor and implement the activities that manage business for Employment Equity compliance.
    • Help employees to understand the strategic direction and assist in obtaining the ‘by-in’ of line managers in line with the Company Values
    • Support business with adhering to legal compliances in relation to Employment Equity and suitability related legislation.
    • Employee Development and Awareness
    • Identify trends in the business and address these through stakeholder consultations.
    • Create awareness of Employment Equity in the workplace for all employees
    • Implement ongoing annual diversity sessions and drive the ‘how to manage’ this in the workplace.
    • Create a sensitivity towards employees with disabilities and assist in developing strategies to meet Employment Equity goals.
    • Deliver workshop forums in line with Employment Equity and business requirements to increase skill, competence, and ability of line managers in Employment Equity competence as well as other related compliance topics.
    • Work closely with LEAD talent and HROPs to align succession planning with performance and linking to targets and goals.

    Minimum Qualification:   

    • Grade 12 and a completed tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Psychology or equivalent relevant tertiary qualification

    Minimum Experience:

    • 5 years’ experience in an Employment Equity Specialist Consultant position
    • Previous experience gained within the Department Labour or similar organisation.
    • Large/complex union negotiations
    • Behavioural and cultural change experience
    • Ability to effectively interact with Colleagues at all levels of the Company.
    • Experience within the Call centre/ BPO will be to your advantage.
