We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician to join our team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business Segment in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Diesel Fitter qualification in building QSK78 engine model.

• More than 4 years of experience in rebuilding zero hour QSK78 engines.

• Knowledge and experience in Standard Repair Time (SRT) for engine models especially QSK78 engine.

• Knowledge and experience in conducting fault finding, analysis and repair.

• Knowledge and experience in Right First Time.

• Knowledge and experience in rebuilding other engine models like QSK60, QSK50, QSK38, QST30, K2000 and K1800.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Must have rebuild more than 30 zero hour QSK78 engines. Knowledge in the key steps to follow in a zero hour rebuild of a QSK78 engine.

• Ability to conduct engine failure analyses and writing failure reports for customers. Thereafter generate quotations to customers.

• Ability to generate Quality Inspection Report which includes failure codes, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions.

• Knowledge and experience in the common failure codes when dyno testing a zero hour QSK78 engine.
