THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

• The Enterprise Specialist will manage the implementation of the Preferential Procurement Set-aside, and Entrepreneurship Development programmes of the company’s ED programme. Feeding into the overarching ESD strategy, the ED programme will contribute to the organization’s objective of making Tiger Brands a “force for good” and establishing Tiger Brands as a leader in development of small black business, black farmers and black distribution enterprises in the Food and Beverage sector in South Africa.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Assist with the evolution of the organisation’s ESD strategy
• Manage and execute all ESD related activities and initiatives
• Coordinate the annual assessment process, quarterly reporting and ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for ESD projects
• Facilitate develop of ESD funding business cases to secure funding for black enterprises
• Support in development of ED and SD programmes and projects
• Manage the implementation of the Market Access Accelerator support programme, including liaising and collaborating with procurement, Aggregators, sites management to unlock procurement opportunities for black owned EME and QSE across South Africa
• Manage the implementation of the Smallholder Farmer support programme, including liaising and collaborating with Procurement and Aggregators to unlock 
• grains and produce procurement opportunities for black owned EME and QSE farmers, linkages with Dipuno Fund and other external funders for funding of black smallholder farmers and collaborating with Aggregators to unlock technical and business support to black smallholder farmers
• Manage the implementation of the Channel Development Programme, covering support of Tiger Brands black distributors and external prepared meals black traders and hawkers, including liaising and collaborating with Customers and Brand teams to unlock good product pricing and rebates opportunities for black owned EME and QSE
• Manage the implementation of the Site Entrepreneurship support programme, including liaising and collaborating with site management to deliver on site specific ESD projects
• Manage the implementation of the Community Enterprise Development (CED) initiatives, including liaising and collaborating with SED team to unlock CED funding, liaise with procurement to unlock procurement opportunities for black communities benefiting from CED
• Management of ESD verification process, this includes collection of evidence from all strategic partners and from beneficiaries and liaising with the BEE verification agency.
• Management of ESD public relations projects and liaising with Corporate Communications divisions on implementation of ESD PR plans
• Contribute to the ESD Report to EXCO and Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee
• Act as the primary liaison between Tiger Brands and ESD implementing service providers for ESD projects and manage all ESD Service Providers and Strategic Partners Agreements.

Experience
