Lead, manage, inspire and motivate the assigned EHS professionals at local level, according to Eaton Leadership Model requirements and in line with the applicable HR policies.
Develop and implement an overall medium and long term EHS Strategy, based on input from local Plant Management and/or EHS professionals to achieve continuous improvement of EHS processes securing a healthy work environment with minimal risks to employees.
Support local locations & Services with deployment of the Management Environment Health and Safety System (MES, ISO 14001, VCA) by investigating and analyzing (potential) EHS issues. Initiate and facilitate EHS Management Review in order to assure continuous improvement in the field of EHS. Support ESS locations in handling EHS issues with local governments, in line with authority level and code of conduct.
Monitor and audit EHS activities, procedures and guidelines in order to facilitate company processes and ensure compliance to local law or to be able to timely stop operational processes to prevent(serious) danger for environment, health or safety of employees.
Pro-actively investigate, in close co-operation with local Plant Management and/or EHSprofessionals the necessity of EHS licenses and permits, in order to ensure company’s compliance to local law.
Ensure timely and correct reporting to manager & EMEA EHS organization in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines and ensure recording and traceability of data
Qualifications
Degree or National Diploma in Health and Safety, including Environmental Health
Ability to manage safety and environmental health in a complex environment
Minimum of 10 years as EHS Manager in a manufacturing environment
Leadership and team-building skills, ability to support cross-functional EHS teams
Good verbal and written communication, including presentation skills
Experience of working in a global company with multiple reporting structures
Proficiency in English, above average computer literacy skills (excel, shared drives, etc.)
Ability to conduct EHS audits
SAP experience

Ability to communicate at all levels
