    Fabrication & Workshop Manager - Kempton Park

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee production planning, prioritisation, and resource allocation in collaboration with department managers.
    • Control and improve labour budgets, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project timelines.
    • Utilise the "DR system" for 100% closure of areas and projects, addressing shortages promptly.
    • Implement and maintain Health and Safety Systems, ensuring operational safety targets are met.
    • Drive the implementation of STRUMIS for documentation control, procurement, and production control.
    • Lead continuous improvement efforts, investigating and solving production problems.
    • Monitor workshop errors and ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 procedures.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
    • Conduct weekly Workshop Team Planning Meetings, tracking progress against key metrics.
    • Lead and develop the workshop team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 15 years of experience in operations/fabrication/production.
    • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in a mid-size business.
    • Strong track record of managing successful fabrication teams.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and STRUMIS.
    • Excellent people management and coaching skills.
