Job Description

• A leading plastics manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Factory Manager with strong experience in injection moulding production to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing production operations within a plastic manufacturing environment and be confident in leading teams, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and quality control
• Manage workflow, equipment utilization, and production efficiency
• Lead and supervise production teams to meet output and quality targets
• Ensure all injection moulding processes and parameters are correctly implemented
• Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, tool changes, and process improvements
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for moulds and machinery
• Track raw material usage and manage inventory control
• Provide training and mentorship to operators and team leaders
• Report on production performance to senior management

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
• Proven management experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (Factory / Production / Plant Manager level)
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery
• Experience in production planning, maintenance scheduling, and process optimization
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Relevant technical qualification or diploma in Operations Management / Plastics Technology will be advantageous
