The Role
We are recruiting a Finance Analyst to join the Finance team and be responsible for conducting monthly and ad-hoc analysis on financial data, in support of the Finance Team and wider organizational strategy. The scope of the analysis spans the entire organization, inclusive of 10 different operating companies and working on reports for Finance, Executive Committee, External Audit and External Investors.
The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Financial Controller and financial accountants to ensure that our financial data is correct and relevant insights are extracted from the same.
We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years experience in accounting / finance. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, high EQ, strong organization skills, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This position is location agnostic, with the current team based in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end financial reporting by company and on a consolidated company basis
Investigate company trends to ensure correct data and draw insights
Liaise with finance team and other relevant stakeholders, particularly toward the goal of constant and consistent automation of regular reporting and streamlining of processes
Pull together ad-hoc analysis for management decision-making, investor information, external reviews, and investment
Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics
Supporting and guiding the company values as well as overarching team and company strategy
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or another relevant field
At least 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance
Experience working remotely and/or in a globally distributed team
Proficient in MS Office Suite, and in particular, have excellent Excel skills
Familiar with accounting and financial statements
