    Finance Manager

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Tripplo is seeking a qualified, skilled and dynamic Finance Manager to join our Johannesburg Team, working closely with the executive team. As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all the finance and accounting aspects of Tripplo. Your strategic financial expertise will be instrumental in driving sustainable growth and ensuring financial excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial and Management Accounting:

    • Lead and manage financial and management accounting processes across multiple geographies, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for both internal and external purposes.
    • Oversee timeliness and quality of all financial transactions, including income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statement transactions, while maintaining precise financial records using relevant accounting software.
    • Prepare and ensure accurate comprehensive financial and management reports and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.

    Budgeting and Cashflow Management:

    • Develop detailed budgeting strategies in collaboration with various departments, whilst closely monitoring and communicating financial performance against budgets with the management team.
    • Proactively manage cash flow to optimize operational needs and allocate financial resources efficiently.
    • Reporting:
    • Timeous and accurate monthly management accounts, quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements
    • Prepare well-structured board reports and detailed quarterly reports on business performance, financial risks, and other relevant matters for presentation to the Management team, the Board and the Board subcommittees.

    Audit:

    • Coordinate the preparation of annual financial statements and oversee the full audit process, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Timeous processing timeous completion of the audited financial statements.

    Tax Compliance and Legal Management:

    • Ensure active tax compliance at all times across all operational geographies, remaining up to date with tax regulations and requirements.
    • Timeous and quality preparation and submission of all relevant taxes across the operations
    • Work closely with legal teams to manage legal engagements, including safeguarding Tripplo's intellectual property and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

    Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

    • Utilize advanced financial analysis and data analytics to offer valuable insights and data-driven recommendations for strategic decision-making.
    • Commercial Functions Support:
    • Collaborate closely with the growth team to support pricing strategies for various revenue streams and provide financial insights during customer deal negotiations.

    Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Assist in establishing and managing the risk management function, fostering company-wide awareness and adherence to risk management protocols.
    • Business Continuity and Financial Modelling:
    • Contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive business continuity plans, ensuring Tripplo's ability to navigate unforeseen challenges with agility.
    • Provide expert financial modelling support for various business initiatives and fundraising activities.

    Investment Support and Fundraising:

    • Work with the management team to maintain a complete deal room.
    • Assist with detailed due diligence processes at investments.
    • Support Operations:
    • Work collaboratively with different teams to optimize support operations and drive efficiency across various functions.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

    • CA (SA): Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with a strong financial background and expertise.
    • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a focus on financial management and reporting.
    • Experience working independently, taking ownership of financial tasks, and displaying a self-driven attitude.
    • Experience or exposure to the logistics or supply chain industry will be advantageous, providing a better understanding of the business dynamics.
    • Experience working in a start-up or high-growth business would be preferable: Candidates with experience in start-ups or high-growth environments will be well-equipped to handle the dynamic and fast-paced nature of our organization.

    •  Strategic view of finance and accounting with the ability to dive into the detail: The Finance Manager should have a strategic outlook on finance and accounting matters while being able to understand and analyse detailed financial information.
    •  Strong planning and execution skills: The Finance Manager must possess excellent planning and execution abilities to ensure effective financial strategies are implemented.
    •  Passion for technology and logistics with a high propensity to learn quickly: An enthusiastic passion for the technology and logistics industry, coupled with quick learning ability, will drive the Finance Manager's success in this role.
    •  Creative problem-solving and ability to handle high levels of pressure: Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations are essential to navigate challenges and support the company's growth.
    •  Strong relationship skills and ability to work with people at all levels within an organization: The Finance Manager must be adept at building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with colleagues at all levels across the organization.
    •  Strong teamwork and cross-collaboration capabilities: Collaborative skills are crucial for the Finance Manager to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the overall success of Tripplo.
