    Finance Officer X2 (Hybrid) - Marble Hall - 2 positions

    Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Accurately record and classify all financial transactions. 
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, leading up to the Trial Balance. 
    • Regularly review ledgers to ensure accuracy, making necessary adjustments as required. 
    • Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts, identifying discrepancies and making necessary corrections. 
    • Track, evaluate, and record all provincial and district assets to ensure accurate valuation and adequate asset protection. 
    • Assist with periodic physical asset counts and reconciliations. 
    • Ensure assets are tagged and logged appropriately.
    • Assist in maintaining the budgets for provincial and district operations. 
    • Collaborate with provincial and district teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. 
    • Monitor and analyse financial performance and recommend strategies. 
    • Oversee the procurement process in liaison with the procurement manager, ensuring ethical and efficient purchasing. 
    • Streamline financial and operational processes in coordination with the operations departments. 
    • Offer financial guidance to provincial and districts management  to optimise budget allocation and expense management. 
    • Assist in preparing detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders. 
    • Maintain organised financial records, ensuring data protection compliance. 
    • Ensure all financial operations adhere to laws, regulations, and policies. 
    • Stay updated with financial compliance requirements and best practices. 
    • Oversee petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and authorisation. 
    • Implement robust internal controls to ensure transparency in petty cash management. 


    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
    • Aspiring to register with a professional body such as SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA, SAICA or equivalent. 
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Bookkeeping or related financial roles. 
    • Experience in NGO environment.  
    • Experience working on projects funded by institutional donors. 
    • Familiarity with Sage Intacct is a strong plus. 
    • Adept at cash management, risk assessment, and financial software/tools. 
    • Outstanding analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. 
    • Excellent communication skills and a passion for financial transparency. 
    • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and compliance measures.
