Financial Accountant (CIMA) 

We’re seeking a young CIMA/SAIPA/SAICA graduate who is ambitious and hard working and willing to go the extra mile. The role is based at a young startup company with operations in South Africa and the UK. The role will specifically assist the Finance Manager in performing their duties, as well as assisting with additional projects.

Responsibilities would include:

• Reporting to the Financial Manager.
• Ensuring quality control and accuracy over all financial transactions, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Reviewing of Income Statements and Balance Sheet items monthly up to management accounts.
• Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet items.
• Reviewing payments and reconciliations (VAT, suppliers, taxes, etc.).
• Making sure all daily, weekly, and monthly finance deadlines are met.
• Any other Ad Hoc queries from bank, general managers, etc.

Ideal Candidate:

• 2-4 years of work experience as an Accountant.
• Previous SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles experience would be beneficial.
• Be able to handle volume, stress, and deadlines.
• Self-starter, adaptable, energetic, and confident.
• Xero knowledge will be a strong advantage.

Monthly Salary Range:

•  R17 500 - R22 000
