    Financial Controller

    Purpose of the role:

    • Through accurate, relevant, and timely business & financial analysis, support management in making effective business decisions.
    • To secure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that the “Epiroc Way” is implemented and followed.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • High-level financial reporting and analysis
    • Ensure Accounting to Reporting is compliant with The Epiroc Way
    • Responsible for local accounting functions supporting our Capital Equipment Divisions, Parts & Services & Drilling Tools Division
    • Support the Compliance Controller with local statutory, tax reporting and compliance within the legal entity
    • Participate in Internal, External, Tax audits and projects as applicable
    • Be part of a regional finance team and collaborate with the Regional Centre of Excellence (RCoE)
    • Budget planning, preparations, consolidation & follow-up
    • Cash flow management to support group Treasury function
    • Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
    • Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
    • Detect and address potential compliance and internal control issues proactively
    • Collaborate with operational teams to achieve shared company KPI’s
    • Respond and support on accounting and reporting inquiries from operations and Epiroc group in a timely manner.

    Qualification required:

    • Relevant Bachelor University degree with expertise in finance, economics, accounting, business administration & business law
    • Qualified Professional Accountant (SA)
    • Preferably to have a CA (Chartered Accountants) qualification which will be an advantage

    Skills & Expertise:

    • Solid accounting experience, including previous experience in a senior accountant role is a must
    • Minimum +5 years’ experience working in a multinational organization will be an advantage  
    • Fluency in English is a key requirement
    • Good legal statutory knowledge and experience is required
    • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications & accounting systems
