Fitter (Gold Processing Plant) at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Fitter to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment to ensure equipment reliability, availability and safe operation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance.
• Attend to mechanical breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently.
• Strip, inspect, repair and rebuild mechanical equipment.
• Maintain rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and other plant machinery.
• Perform precision alignment and mechanical equipment installation.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and work orders within required timeframes.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and assist with reliability improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide feedback on completed work.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including risk assessments and LOTO.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working standards.
• Work closely with electricians, instrumentation technicians, millwrights and production teams.
• Assist with shutdowns, plant outages and equipment commissioning.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 
• Valid Fitter Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in a gold processing plant
• Proven experience maintaining crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, agitators, thickeners, cyclones, mills and vibrating feeders.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems
• Valid Driver's License
