    Fleet Manager / Coordinator

    Job Description

    You will be responsible for overseeing the company’s vehicles and managing the fleet provider ensuring efficient fleet management and constant visibility. The primary objective is to enhance the fleet’s performance, closely monitor vehicle utilisation, identify potential issues, and provide effective solutions.

    This role involves continuous monitoring of both vehicle performance and driver behaviour, with a focus on making recommendations to enhance overall fleet efficiency. This position is within the Operations Team and reports to the Procurement Manager and works closely with HR and Health and Safety Team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Entire fleet management including fuel, fine and cost management as well as E-Toll account management.
    • Oversee general vehicle repairs, vehicle rotation, tyres, fuel, licensing, breakdowns, accidents and insurance claims.
    • Understand Fleet Management tools, recommend new tools and systems to increase efficiency and able to investigate issues.
    • Ensure driver’s licenses are valid, monitor kilometers travelled and vehicle performance, vehicle tracking and publish monthly driver dashboard.
    • Vehicle insurance, inspections and claims, accident management, follow up on 3rd party recoveries and then approve or decline repairs.
    • Manage the order processing, installation and roll out of vehicle modifications and ensure all new vehicles are registered and captured internally.
    • Vehicle recommendations and rotations done timeously and changes communicated to fleet provider.
    • Detailed records and reports to be provided and execution of SLA outcomes are monitored and actioned.

    Experience & Skills

    • Degree in Fleet, Business Management, Finance or similar.
    • 3-5 years experience with Fleet Operations in a similar role.
    • Good understanding of Mix Telematics system.
    • Problem solver whose persistent, solution orientated with a “do-it-now” attitude.
    • Time manage, organise assigned work with strong administrative and reporting skills.
    • Highly analytical, accuracy, planning, financial skills and be detail orientated.
    • Strong customer service and satisfaction with both internal and external customers
    • Good knowledge and background of all aspects of Health & Safety processes, policies and procedures, fleet operation, body and mechanical repairs.
