    Franchise Lead - Vaccines

    About the job

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • Lead the implementation of the GBU/Franchise strategy and deliver the GBU objectives at country level by defining adequate operating development plans.
    • Within the framework of Sanofi Pasteur global business strategy, develop and implement a marketing plan which focuses resources on maximizing market share and operating profitability of key strategic products.
    • Represents the oganization and ensure high compliance with Sanofi SOPs and local legislation and transversal coordination with other stakeholders

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Manage the development and implementation of marketing plans for both the public and private market consistent with the global business strategy for Sanofi Pasteur, aimed at maximizing market share and achieving sales and profitability objectives of strategic products. Play a major role in the strategic development and preparation of the Sanofi Pasteur Business Plan
    • Focus on the success of key strategic global brands, managing the product launch process through effective resource-allocation, maximizing product life-cycles and ensuring portfolio optimization in line with the defined business strategy and plans
    • Structure and develop a dynamic marketing collaboration with the medico-marketing/sales team -aimed at enhancing Sanofi Pasteur’s image and competitivity in the market; within the organization provide a clear vision of the pharmaceutical environment and the context of Sanofi Pasteur’s key therapeutic areas in the market.
    • Optimize cross-functional support needs in the organization, ensuring effective communication between with the Regulatory, Medical, Market Access and Sales teams. Manage network opportunities at all levels of the international global marketing organization. Glocal Model is key in the new organization.
    • Provide professional marketing and sales effectiveness training support to the sales organization
    • Build and maintain relations with key opinion-leaders at a country level
    • Establish appropriate marketing systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and appropriate control, based on quality performance and commitment to deliver on-time
    • Plan and control local Marketing expenditure, according to product priorities, ensuring cost-efficiency at all times and particular focus on advertising and promotion and other controllable expenses.
    • Ensure that prices for products within your area of responsibility receive the prior authorisation of the Operational Committee before being extended to the customers.
    • Specialist on data, ability to mine, dissect and use data to determine, validate and track brand performance, the ability to review sales data and understand impact to brand, share relevant and applicable data to matrix organization so they could better understand, support or execute the brand strategy
    • Forecasting of National sales Participate in the monthly breakdown of the annual regional forecast in coordination with BU management, identifying sales targets for each region per month and sales targets for each product per month according to the potentiality of each area/region. Monthly forecast update, reviewing sales achievements by the end of each month to identify variances and set the plan to make up for these variances in the following month
    • Establishing strong relationships with KOLs & Key Accounts to better enhance the promotion of our products, Enhance strong relations with KOLs & decision makers at KAs through regular field visits. Coordinating with marketing and Medical team in organizing scientific conferences and symposia, while ensuring effective and ethical level of activities

    SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Scientific background (medicine/ pharmacy) and business education essential, ideally with specialization in Marketing
    • Proven experience and success in a marketing and sales positions, good knowledge and experience of regulatory, legal, logistical, financial, labour law and people-management issues. Vaccines or other biologicals experience
    • As Marketing Champion, demonstrate excellent knowledge and practice in sales & marketing, and fully exploit the full market potential of Sanofi Pasteur’s products
    • Demonstrates capacity to understand medical, regulatory, financial, legal and human resources issues and their impact on the marketing function
    • Able to lead by example and foster professionalism in the team by navigating and collaborating in a matrix organization;
    • Utilizes excellent communication skills and demonstrates intercultural adaptability and sensitivity
    • Quick to analyse and take action without compromising quality; utilizes effective negotiation skills
