Front End Developer (Data) Senior Professional Officer
A relevant qualification (BTech or first degree), preferably in computer science, web development, information systems or related field
Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Key Performance Areas
Front end development: To design, write, and iterate data visualisation code from prototype to production-ready by using open source frontend technologies to bring data concepts to life
Data Integration Design: To develop fit-for-purpose, resilient, scalable, and future-proof data services to meet user needs which include the design and development of programmatic functionalities (APIs)
Testing: To plan, design, manage, execute, and report, tests relevant to user facing data products, using appropriate tools and techniques, working within testing regulations
Maintain and Support: To ensure the data product is functioning optimally, i.e. debug detected errors, and troubleshoot issues
Monitoring: To monitor the progress and success of data products by automatic monitoring
Project Collaboration: To collaborate with technical and non- technical colleagues
Research, Analysis and Innovation: To conduct research in various areas for the purpose of innovation, and with the intent of constantly, proactively improving the data products
