A recognised Chef's qualification will be advantageous.
Working experience in a Fast Food Restaurant as a Griller will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene practices.
Must be willing to work overtime, public holidays and weekends.
Excellent communication.
Must be able to perform under pressure.
Hardworking, honest and self-motivated.
Situated within the Mahikeng area will be advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
In-depth knowledge of the menu.
Know all precook procedures of products(chicken, wings) as well as holding times.
Hot Food SOP’s – must know Standard Operating Procedures for Chicken and wings.
Must know procedures on how to prepare Pre and final cooks of chicken, wings, fillets etc.
Maintaining a clean workstation at all times.
Know how to package each item if it is a “take-away” (Full Chicken, ½ Chicken, ¼ Chicken, Wings).
Know how to plate items if the order is “sit in” (Full Chicken, ½ Chicken, ¼ Chicken, Wings).
Must be able to coordinate and push out orders with urgency(within 7minutes)as they come in.
Follow standard operating procedures for cleaning of equipment such as the Front grill, Extraction, Chopping Block, Smallware’s/inserts/tongs/brushes, packing table, Oven/Fire Engine.
