Frontend Software Engineer at Kerridge Commercial Systems South Africa

At KCS the primary role of the Frontend Developer is to create and implement client-side solutions on top of the KCS Ecommerce Products. You will have freedom to express yourself creatively through this role, as well as improving the user experience of existing solutions.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Using JQuery and CSS/Less to produce user-friendly HTML web solutions.
• Collaboration with other members of the team to improve usability on existing and new projects.
• Developing efficient and clean mobile responsive designs.
• Creating wireframes and mock ups of new UI implementations.
• Working with the back-end developers with coding and investigation of issues.
• Ensuring high-quality and web-friendly graphics are utilised within projects.
• Optimize front-end applications to maximise quick response times, and a slick user experience.
• Maintain existing projects.
• Liaising with clients where necessary.

• Proven work experience in a Frontend Developer role
• Experience in browser testing and debugging (e.g. Chrome Console)
• Knowledge of SEO and its implementation
