Makro is searching for a Fulfilment Lead that is HUNGRY, HUMBLE, ENGAGED, AND SMART AND FOLLOWS THROUGH.
Main Purpose of the job: Direct the management, implementation, and monitoring of a client focused fulfilment operation store in order to achieve the efficient delivery of the right goods to the right customer at the right time.
Key performance areas:
Plan, manage and monitor fulfilment operations.
- Compile relevant Fulfilment plans aligned to the overall Supply Chain and Logistics strategic plan
- Manage the effective and efficient implementation of all relevant Fulfilment processes
- Manage and implements a service focused customer fulfilment function
- Manage internal controls with regards to processes and Fulfilment administration
- Assist in the development of Fulfilment facility risk management policies and procedures
Delivery Optimisation
- Ensure that all staff members in area of responsibility are duly trained and enabled to perform according the required standards for customer service
- Implement customer satisfaction improvement measures for fulfilment and provides feedback on improvement
- Assists team members in conflict situations with customers and ensure that conflict is successfully resolved
- Ensure team members understand and are compliant with all legislation that effects the customer
- Manage colleagues and customers’ expectations and communicate appropriately
- Resolve all customer complaints and ensure all customer complaints are resolve within agreed standards
Drives Fulfilment performance optimisation and Reporting
- Analyse and accurately report on the Fulfilment performance
- Identify and implement Fulfilment improvement opportunities
- Optimises and maintains the Fulfilment, layout and space utilisation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and increase fleet utilisation
Manage Fulfilment Department Stock control and safekeeping practices
- Analyse Fulfilment Stock reports, identify deviations, investigate causes and implement corrective actions
- Verify that stock accuracy controls and safekeeping practices for are in place
- Implement effective and efficient Stock control measures
- Provide relevant feedback to managers and stock regarding Stock
Team human resources management
- Enhance staff retention and identify trends to reduce staff turnover within team
- Monitor staff satisfaction to reduce risk and meet the business objectives of the organisation
- Ensure that team members are customer focused and provide guidance, support or advice in situations where required
People Management
Induction of new employees:
- Ensure Induction is completed within stipulated time frame
- Ensure that all new staff undergo orientation
Employment equity targets:
- Ensure achievement of initiatives in support of store equity plan when recruiting for the department
Performance Management:
- Signed role clarity in place for all employees
- Performance contract in place for all
- Complete regular performance evaluations
- Signed PDD’s in place for all employees
- Maintain appropriate level of discipline
- Take appropriate disciplinary action
- Conduct monthly score card and one on one discussions with all staff
- Manage staff adherence to working schedule
- Complete regular PDR’s to improve staff morale
- Ensure staff is cross –skilled to ensure continuity of all functions
- Energy level improvement
- Manage time keeping and working hours
- Effective planning for weekends and festive season trading
- Manage Team Delivery based on performance plans
Staff development and succession:
- Ensure that the % is achieved for training and development plans
- Ensure that a succession plan is in place for individual departments
- Ensure Development plan is in place for all individuals
- Ensure % staff that have completed mandatory CBTs are recorded
- Ensure % staff that have completed functional CBTs are recorded
- Ensure Signed Role Clarity document is in place for each staff member
- Ensure that there is a Performance Contract for all levelled manager
Minimum Academic Requirements, Professional Qualifications, and Experience:
- Tertiary logistics management or related qualification
- 2-3 years distribution experience in retail environment
