    Full Qualification Trainer & Assessor

    Company Description

    The OUTsurance Learning Academy requires a Full Qualification Trainer & Assessor who understands the culture and its value system well to support the Training Management Team in addressing the technical and product training needs.

    Job Description

    At OUTsurance Insurance Company we are not focussed on formal titles and organisational charts, we do however believe that people should have clear responsibilities. Your responsibilities are as follows:

    • Training needs analysis and identification;

    • Scheduling and management of the FQ training schedule;

    • Coordination and training the full qualification internal programme;

    • Program design and development, including material updates. Incumbent must keep abreast with the FAIS Act and Skills Development Act so as to keep the programme updated and relevant;

    • Ensuring all outcomes are met in terms of the requirements of the full qualification programme;

    • Meeting all verification requirements;

    • Compliance with the internal quality management system, including but not limited to verifying learners on the Inseta Indicium system

    • Assessing all formative and summative assessments

    • Coordinating and liaising with External Moderators who assist with the full qualification

    • Proper record keeping for verification purposes;

    • Management of the programme learner evaluations;

    • Training administration and records;

    • Complete monthly training reports;

    • Continuous alignment of training material to Skills Development legislation;

    • Relationship building with the management team and line managers;

    • Constant communication to all stakeholder on matters relating to the full qualification programme;

    • Dealing with our clients on all levels in a competent, efficient and professional way, in accordance with the quantity and quality standards that are in place for your role and in accordance with our values. 

    • Accepting full responsibility for all telephone calls and messages to the department. This includes the timeous completion of any accompanying transaction whether by computer or otherwise;

    • Ensure all evidence and required documentation is gathered and recorded in a timely and accurate manner for INSETA verifications

    • Take ownership of quality control for assessments

    • Comply with the quality management system, by conducting frequent quality checks of learner ID’s and learner document submissions

    • Comply with all assessing and moderation policies and procedures

    • Attend INSETA workshops

    • Compile assessing and moderation reports for verification

    • Responsible for uploading and updating relevant databases with learner data

    • In order to uphold our value of Awesome Service, all our staff is expected to be competent in all aspects of their jobs. Consequently, during your initial training period you will complete a series of product and system assessments and it is expected that you pass these assessments by obtaining a pass mark of 80% in these assessments. This is a condition of your employment with us and failing to meet this standard will result in the termination of your services. The demands of our product and systems training in your initial training period are huge. To cope with these demands it is essential that you are present throughout your first month of service without any planned or unplanned absence. Remember that passing your product assessments is a condition of employment with us. Should you have personal commitments such a your own studies externally, private commitments/plans  such as holidays, weddings etc. that are scheduled to take place during your month of initial training, please take into account that no leave (paid or unpaid) will be approved for you. So to ensure that you do not miss any content from the initial training period please consider this in any decision to join us on the date outlined above.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    Valid INSETA Assessor scope for FETC: Short Term Insurance qualification NQF 4 (SAQA ID 66610/49929)

    • Tolerance for stress.

    • Computer literate.

    • Knowledge and understanding of INSETA verification requirements

    • Coordinate Induction Training
