General Worker at BKB Ltd

• The purpose of this post is to assist with all functions in the shipping department. You will also have to ensure that adequate production levels are maintained on the shipping floor and report any discrepancies to the supervisor on site.

Requirements:

• Grade 10-12
• 1-2  years’ working experience in the Wool warehouse.
• Experience in the shipping department will be advantageous
• Must be able to function well in a team
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Basic knowledge of warehouse functioning.
• Physically fit and be able to work on your feet for long hours.
• Be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required to do so.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Work with the “Breekspan” in the handling and relocation of bales
• Work with Cross Hauling, outside bales must be offloaded from the trucks
• Pulling bales from stacking area, as well as replacing unused bales back into the stacking area.
• General housekeeping. Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
• Perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks as requested by the supervisor or management in the plant (BKB)
