    Graduate Intern: HR

    • As a HR Graduate Intern in the Oceana Maritime Academy team, you will work closely with the Academy Manager and Learning Specialist to gain hands-on experience in learning and development activities and critical exposure to the operations of the Academy in the Fishing Industry. You will support the team with the planning, coordination, and delivery of learning and development programs and events within our organization and ensure the success of the learning experience for the learners. The role is ideal for a graduate with a passion for people development looking to gain experience in the learning and development discipline of HR.

    This role will be reporitng into the Learning Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Effectively, accurately, and timeously oversee and coordinate learning activities, events and conferences to ensure that all attendees are adequately prepared. This will include:
    • Training calendars
    • Training venues & catering
    • Learning materials, tools, and equipment
    • Flights, transportation, and accommodation
    • Communicate all training initiatives effectively and timeously with all learning stakeholders.
    • Acting in the role of a learning ambassador and advisor to team members by providing necessary information timeously.
    • Support the vendors and manage the full invoice process.
    • Drive continuous improvement and self-development.
    • Manage relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
    • Accurately Maintain training & development records, track progress and outcomes, and generating reports to inform decision-making.
    • Ad hoc projects as required.
    • Assist with the onboarding of new vendors to deliver the best programmes currently on the market.
    • Compare various reports to make sure that errors are picked up before submission

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under pressure.
    • Exceptional planning and organizing skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated interest and passion for organizational learning strategies.
    • Less than 12 months working experience excluding internship.
