Graphic Designer at Valenture Institute

The Role:

We are looking to hire a Mid-Level Graphic Designer with a strong proficiency in Digital Illustration. Under the direction of the Senior Designer, the successful applicant will work on conceptualising and producing online course graphics for Valenture Institute's teaching syllabus, as well as working on any marketing collateral in accordance with the Valenture brand standards and guidelines.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Work with the Senior Designer and Learning Design team to produce course graphics, illustrations and infographics, for secondary education materials and ensure that where textbook content is being used, that the associated graphic materials align with Valenture’s brand guidelines.
• Be responsible for completing course material to spec and according to brand guidelines within weekly sprint deadlines.
• Work with the Learning Technology team to produce web-based graphics and animations that enhance the UX of the learning management system and maintain a fresh and innovative look and feel.
• Create templates, drafts and design specs for the company’s design work.
• Work closely with the Senior Designer to produce any marketing material that may be required.
• Ability collaborate effectively across teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Design, Visual Arts or related fields.
• At least 3+ years post-graduate experience in Graphic Design and Digital Illustration.
• Advanced knowledge and abilities with Adobe suite. Specifically Adobe Illustrator.
• Highly proficient Illustrator with strong typographic and layout skills.
• The ability to think conceptually, understand, and interpret a brief.
• The ability to work seamlessly with leaders across functions.
• A good grasp of design and web design best practices.
• Knowledge or skills in UX are a bonus.
