    Group Finance Reporting Manager - JHB

    What you'll do:

    As Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will be immersed in a multifaceted role that spans financial reporting excellence, regulatory compliance, internal controls management, and strategic project participation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you

    • Support group-wide financial reporting for IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring alignment and driving process improvements.
    • Lead finance transformation projects, including new consolidation tools, FP&A enhancements, process automation, ERP changes, and procurement upgrades.
    • Oversee monthly management and group reporting for operating entities and the overall group within the financial control function.
    • Manage IFRS financial statements, SEC filings, and regulatory disclosures with accuracy and timeliness.
    • Collaborate with the US Finance Reporting team on complex accounting issues to ensure global consistency.
    • Assist the Group Financial Director with tax compliance and participate in tax-related workstreams.
    • Work with Group Finance teams to ensure timely submissions, resolve reconciling items, and improve processes.
    • Contribute to SOX compliance by reviewing processes, designing controls, conducting testing, and supporting remediation efforts.
    • Maintain documentation and audit trails while promoting best practices across segments.
    • Provide input on consolidated budgets and forecasts, focusing on shared services costs and collaborating with divisional finance teams on strategic planning.

    What you bring:

    The ideal candidate for the Group Financial Reporting Manager position brings

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field) and CA(SA) or equivalent qualification required.
    • 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in financial leadership within fintech, SaaS, or digital banking preferred.
    • Experience in Group Finance with exposure to group reporting is advantageous.
    • Familiarity with SOX compliance, IFRS, and US GAAP reporting is desirable.
    • Knowledge of digital financial products, payment platforms, or regulatory landscapes is beneficial.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial information effectively.
    • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and support decision-making.
    • Ability to collaborate across functions and build relationships beyond finance is essential.
    • High ethical standards and a focus on operational excellence are expected.
    • Proficiency in financial software tools and advanced Excel skills for modeling and analysis is important.
