    Head of Credit

    About

    The new Head of Credit Role will have a heavy emphasis on technical, quantitative, automotive, and digital elements. Applicants will need to bring these forward-thinking attitudes and credentials, to the table.

    Qualifications & skills:

    • Honours or MBA degree, advantageous
    • Academic background in Accounting or Economics preferred, but not essential
    • Experience gained as a Business Banking Head of Credit, or similar (SME's, not Corporate clients), non-negotiable
    • Ability to demonstrate very strong technical, and analytical ability
    • Experience of both designing and delivering, strategy, on a massive scale
    • Must have deep understanding and experience of: Intuitive lending, scored lending, secured credit and unsecured credit
    • Any exposure or experience of bringing technologies such as Advanced Quantitative Data Analytics or Machine Learning - will be the mark of difference in your application.

    Management responsibilities:

    • 8 senior reports
    • Including Head of Quantitative scorecards, Head of lending, Head of Credit, Head of Collections, etc

    Key Duties:

    • With ample support, you will aggressively grow the presence, size, and reach of the lending function, across the whole of South Africa
    • Management of the full credit function, top to bottom
    • Complete transformation of lending practices, moving from intuitive and manual, to scored and automated
    • Working hand in hand with the CEO to deliver the "new bank"

    The successful role holder will bring a revolutionary and fresh perspective to the traditional credit mandate.
