We are seeking a diligent and proactive Hotel Security Officer to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property within a hotel environment. You will play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while effectively managing safety protocols and addressing any security concerns.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol the hotel premises to detect and prevent any suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly at all times.
Implement and enforce hotel policies and emergency procedures to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions and providing information about hotel services.
Collaborate with hotel management and staff to provide security briefings and training sessions.
Document incidents, report any irregularities, and maintain detailed records of all activities.
Assist in the investigation of reported incidents and provide support in creating a safer hotel environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in a security role, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
Presentable appearance and Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
Valid Psira certificate
Familiarity with security systems, surveillance equipment, and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a supervisory or lead security role is an advantage.
Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Crisis Management would be beneficial.
Experience working with diverse populations and in multicultural environments.
