Job Description
The main responsibility and objective of the Human Resource Manager will be to provide transactional HR business support and leadership to all Rosonds operations as well as strategic input to the Board of Directors to ensure Company objectives are met in respect of people capacity and capability. The following broad areas of HR value chain as per business objectives are relevant.
Organisational Design
Employee attraction (recruitment), Retention and Exit
Expatriate Management
Performance Management
Remuneration and Rewards
Job Profiles and Grading
Policies and Procedures
Succession Planning
Employee Relations (or IR)
Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
Employee Wellness
Compliance - SD, UIF, Mining & DTI Codes, etc
Stakeholder Relations & Sustainability
Competency, Training, Development and Accreditation
Employment benefits (medical aid, pension/provident funds, etc)
Duties:
Recruitment of suitable skills to fill job openings, facilitate the convening of interviews and appointments of successful candidates
Promote a healthy working environment for staff and management
Handle labour disputes and remedy any issues that employees may encounter
Develop and initiate training and orientation plans for new employees
Report on the cost of Human Resources and the current/future recruitment needs of the organization
Manage risk by being compliant with South African (and other countries where the Company operates) labour laws and recommendations
Stay abreast of all labour legislation and relevant statute that may necessitate the evolving needs of the employer and its employees within the organization
Collaborate with payroll and provident/pension fund to the extent necessary in dealing with enquiries
Collect and analyze employee data via internal surveys to measure employer satisfaction and develop talent retention strategies
Qualifications
A recognized degree or diploma in the Human Resources field
The Human Resource Manager will be required to have a minimum of 5-10 year HR-related experience including hiring, managing, performance reviews, compensation packages, etc.
Exposure or experience in the drilling and/or mining sectors
