    Human Capital Executive

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The HC Executive is responsible for managing Macsteel’s workforce to successfully achieve business objectives. To oversee all human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee development, compensation and benefits, performance management, and organisational culture in successfully delivering all elements of the employee lifecycle and the people strategy.
    • The role involves balancing strategic elements with day-to-day HR operations. 
    • The HR Executive serves as a bridge between leadership and employees, aligning people strategies with business goals to drive organisational success and a positive work environment.

    Minimum Requirements    
    Required Qualifications / Experience 

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or related field.
    • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive HR experience with at least 8 years in senior/executive leadership roles
    • Extensive knowledge and expertise across all HR disciplines 
    • Proven experience managing large organisations 
    • Demonstrated success in leading and managing large HR teams

    Technical Competencies 

    • Expertise in HR data and reporting 
    • Proficiency with enterprise HRIS platforms 
    • Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance, MEIBC knowledge essential
    • Understanding of workforce planning and predictive analytics

    Leadership Competencies 

    • Strategic thinking and ability to execute strategic thinking into actionable outcomes
    • Business partnership and stakeholder management with the ability to influence at a senior level 
    • High sense of initiative and judgment, with a problem-solving mindset (creative thinker)
    • Ability to lead a team and positively influence to achieve results 
    • Role model behaviour, with a high level of integrity and ethics in leadership accountability 

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Job Specification

    Strategic Leadership

    • Develop and implement people strategy aligned with organisational goals and growth objectives
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on all people-related matters
    • Lead organisational design and workforce planning to support business growth and transformation
    • Drive cultural transformation and employee engagement programmes 
    • Revise HR technology solutions and digital transformation to be able to utilize robust HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making
    • Manage the human capital budget and ensure optimal resource allocation

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR teams within the business
    • Build organisational capability within the HR function in order to deliver the people strategy and to support organizational needs
    • Manage HR risk and ensure compliance with all labour laws, regulations and statutory requirements are upheld 

    Talent Management

    • Own the talent acquisition strategy, employer branding and Diversity, Equity and inclusion within the organisation
    • Lead and deliver succession planning within the organization managing top talent and critical roles/skills 

    Organisational Development

    • Design and implement change management strategies for major organisational transitions
    • Oversee organisational effectiveness and interventions

    Performance Management

    • Implement and oversee company-wide performance management systems
    • Drive a high-performance culture and accountability throughout the organisation

    Learning & Development

    • Implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy covering leadership, top talent, career development and performance frameworks 
    • Drive digital learning platforms and modern learning methodologies to deliver skills development initiatives 

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Develop a competitive total rewards philosophy and strategy
    • Design incentive and recognition programs

    Engagement

    • Represent HR on executive committees, industry bodies and professional HR networks 
    • Build strong relationships with Unions, external partners, vendors, and consultants

    Corporate Social Responsibility

    • Support CSR Manager with successful implementation of the company's CSR strategy, including community engagement programs, charitable partnerships, environmental sustainability initiatives, and ethical business practices. 
    • Provide reporting and metrics as needed by the leadership team
