We are looking for an HR Administrator to support our Human Resources department. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees. The main purpose of the position is administrative of nature and duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. all employment records) and updating internal databases and managing the time and attendance duties. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner but also be able to perform under pressure.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
A diploma in HR Management/IR Management (Degree would be greatly valued and beneficial)
Must have a valid driver’s license & own transport (will be required to travel from time to time)
3 years’ experience in Human Resources with specific involvement in time & attendance operations
Relevant HR courses will also be beneficial
Knowledge of time and attendance software (Jarrison T&T System would be advantageous)
Technical Knowledge & Competencies
Computer literate in MS Office
Knowledge of Human Resource and payroll processes
Good knowledge of timekeeping and strong administration skills
Good analytical skills and actively clarifying what has been communicated to ensure understanding
Displays levels of patience, work well and delivers under pressure.
Displaying integrity, honesty, and confidentiality
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, in person and telephonically)
Demonstrating the ability to work in a culture diverse environment
Team player, approachable, receptive to feedback from others

Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and maintain personnel records (file hardcopies and electronically)
Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave, long service)
Prepare HR documents, such as employment contracts, transfers, promotions etc.
Compiling HR reports
Answer and assist employee queries about HR-related issues
Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leave of absence, sick days and work schedules)
Arrange travel, accommodation and process expense forms
Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organise a social project, functions etc.)
Minute taking during meetings
Assisting with Employment Equity Admin duties
Benefits administration
Time and Attendance Duties
Review exception and overtime reports on a daily basis
Act as liaison between the users on site and the service provider
Trouble shooting on site prior to logging issue with the service provider
Liaising with on-site users to ensure information is completed in a timely and accurate manner
Administration of the Employee Self Service system
Express, model and reinforce a process-honouring culture
Ensure application of policies and acts within the time and attendance solution
