    Inbound Marketing Manager

    Introduction

    To make exercise irresistible
    To take the lead with our email marketing and push messaging strategies. You will be focused on the underlying technology as well as the process of how we deploy and analyse new programs that make our member experiences more meaningful and impactful.

    Minimum Requirements...

    • Have 2-3 years of experience in marketing campaign automation, campaign management, consumer analytics, and/or performance marketing. Knowledge of Hubspot is preferred.
    • Bacherlors Degree in Marketing
    • Hands on experience working with HTML, CSS, and content management systems.
    • Proficiency in using marketing automation technology
    • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics
    • Undeniably results-driven and extremely analytical in nature, you are addicted to testing, performance, and monitoring results over time. You are constantly hunting for new opportunity to do better for our users.
    • CRM/Database marketing experience
    • Familiarity with analytical and CRM database tools
    • Strong written communication and copywriting skills
    • Excellent project management skills
    • An ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Knowledge of email marketing platform, Hubspot, is preferred, but not required
    • Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices and strategies to address high unsubscribe and spam rates
    • A cross functional collaborator, you thrive in building relationships with marketers, product managers, and analysts as well as creative teams, content creators, and an extended stakeholder list.
    • A great communicator, tenacious problem solver, and creative thinker who also sweats the details.

    Job Specification

    • Oversee the setup, scheduling and deployment as well as the reporting and post mortems with the working team.
    • Design and track automated customer journeys including the welcome experience.
    • Quality check marketing campaign messaging for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
    • Update email templates using graphics, personalisation and advanced features.
    • Plan, set up, and implement A/B tests based on recognised practices in order to optimse open rates, click through rates, and conversion rates
    • Monitor and implement strategies to minimise email unsubscribes.
    • Be a platform expert for our marketing automation platform. Deeply understand its capabilities and how to get things done on the platform. Be the go-to resource for internal partners to help drive usage of the platform for new testing, new programming, and new ways to personalise the Virgin Active experience for our members through our push messaging.
    • Own cross-channel by-program/campaign reporting and partners closely with broader team to continue to develop our 360 view of the customer to inform future opportunities.
    • Ensure emails, SMS and push notifications follow industry policies and best practices.
    • Ensure tracking and QA are in place pre-deployment. Working with IT & BI teams.
